Harbour House, Shaw Club chosen two top spots in province
Niagara's Finest Inns, a collection of luxury boutique hotels and restaurants in Niagara-on-the-Lake, was honoured this week with a number of prestigious awards.
At a ceremony of Ontario's Finest Inns, Hotels and Spas held in Niagara-on-the-Lake, this week, the organization of 20 spas and 33 boutique hotels and inns across the province, Niagara's Finest was awarded a first and second place finish in the hotel category for Harbour House and Shaw Club Hotel.
The Shaw Spa was rated third in the spa category.
Harbour House received a score of 95.23 per cent, the highest mark given to a property since the inception of the Quality Assurance program more than 15 years ago.
Members of Ontario's Finest Inns, Hotels and Spas focus on providing exceptional guest service through beautifully appointed rooms, award-winning cuisine and luxurious spas.
In addition to the Niagara's Finest Inns group which includes Harbour House Hotel, Shaw Club Hotel & Spa and the Charles Inn, other locally connected properties in the organization include the Oban Inn and Spa, Riverbend Inn, Keefer Mansion, Inn on the Twenty and the Vintage Inns owned Millcroft Inn.
A special award was presented to Bruce Osborne of Harbour House, for providing perfect guest service.
The four awards presented to NFI represented half of all awards handed out that evening.

Member properties are judged by a secret shopper's in-depth evaluation covering more than 300 criteria from booking to check out, from the freshness of the decor to the friendliness of the staff, from the range of reading material to the quality of the wine list.
