Actress Marion Cotillard has nothing to do with the Brangelina breakup and she's doing "very well thank you" as she stated herself in a statement on her Instagram page.

After news broke Tuesday Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce against Brad Pitt, fingers started pointing directly at Pitt's Allied co-star, Cotillard. Rumours had it that Jolie hired a private investigator who discovered an on-set affair between the two actors.

Cotillard, who has been in a relationship with French actor and director Guillaume Canet since 2007, took to her Instagram page to have her say.

Captioned with a photo of a black bird flying through what looks like stars, Cotillard wrote: "I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up.

"Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need. Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn't distressing."

After a red carpet appearance on the weekend for her most recent film Juste la Fin du Monde (It's Only the End of the World), more attention was paid to the actress' body – particularly a baby bump, which was again linked to her rumoured Pitt affair.

In her Instagram statement, Cotillard dismisses the media and the "haters" ending her post with well-wishes for Pitt and Jolie.

The newest trailer for Allied was released Wednesday.
